Terms of Service

API Skins (the "service") is run by [operator name and address] ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the website, its price data, its API and its trading robots. By signing in or using the service you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and allowed by your local law to trade in-game items. How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

You sign in with your Steam account; we never see your Steam password. One account is for one person. You are responsible for everything done with your account, your API key and the marketplace keys you give us, so keep them safe and tell us at once if you think someone else is using them.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or that the law requires us to stop serving.

You pay for subscriptions from your balance on the service. You top it up by sending USDT or USDC on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain to your deposit address, shown when you top up; one token adds one US dollar. A deposit counts once it is 12 blocks deep on its network. Deposits are handled by our payment provider, LirChain.

• Send only the listed tokens on the listed networks, to your own deposit address. Tokens sent on another network, other tokens, or to a wrong address may be lost, and we may not be able to recover them.
• Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Network fees are yours. A deposit worth less than $1 is not counted.
• Your balance is prepaid credit for this service only. It is not a bank account or e-money, earns no interest, cannot be transferred to another user and cannot be withdrawn, except where the law requires otherwise.
• We may correct a balance that was credited by mistake.

The Free plan costs nothing. A paid plan is bought from your balance and lasts 30 days. Buying the same plan again adds 30 days to it; switching to another plan starts the new one at once and credits the unused part of the old one. Nothing renews by itself: when a subscription ends, your account goes back to Free.

What each plan includes is shown on the subscriptions page. When an account is over the new plan's limits, the robots pause the newest accounts, offers and orders until it is back under them. We may change what plans include or cost; a change never shortens or reduces a subscription you already paid for.

Payments for subscriptions are not refunded once the subscription has started, except where the law requires otherwise.

Prices on the website and through the API come from third-party sources and the marketplaces themselves. We check them often but cannot promise they are complete, current or correct: a listing may be gone, a price may have changed. Check the marketplace before you trade. Nothing on the service is financial or investment advice.

• Your API key is for you. Each plan has a monthly limit of price requests and a per-minute limit of all API requests; do not get around them, for example with several accounts.
• You may use the data in your own trading, tools and apps. You may not resell or redistribute it as a price feed of your own.

The robots trade on DMarket and Market.CSGO on your behalf with the API keys you connect. Within the minimum and maximum prices you set, they list your items, change their prices, and place, change and remove buy orders, by themselves and around the clock. You decide what they trade and within which limits; you can change those limits, remove offers and orders, or disconnect an account at any time.

• You are responsible for the limits you set and for every trade, purchase, sale and marketplace fee that results from them.
• We do not promise that an offer or order stays first, sells or fills, or that you make any profit. Prices can move faster than a robot reacts, and the marketplace limits how often prices may change.
• The marketplaces can change their APIs, limit, suspend or close accounts, or be unavailable. You are responsible for following the marketplaces' and Steam's own terms, including on automated trading, and for the security of your accounts there.
• Give the robots keys that only allow what they need. We use your keys only to do what you set up.

You agree not to:

• break the law with the service, including fraud, money laundering, or trading items you have no right to;
• attack, overload, scrape around the API, probe or try to break into the service or other users' accounts;
• get around plan limits, rate limits or sign-in;
• pass off the service or its data as your own, or use it to harm other users.

The service works with Steam, the marketplaces and blockchain networks, which are run by others under their own terms; we are not responsible for them. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Steam, DMarket and Market.CSGO, or any other marketplace. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

We work to keep the service running and correct, but provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We may change, pause or stop any part of it. When we stop a paid feature for good, we credit the unused part of affected subscriptions to your balance.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses from trades, prices, marketplace or blockchain problems, or from someone using your account or keys. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer where you live.

You can stop using the service at any time, disconnect your marketplace accounts, and ask us to delete your account. We may end or suspend your access as set out in section 2. When we close an account for breaking these terms, its balance and subscriptions may be forfeited where the law allows.

We may update these terms. For important changes we give notice on the website at least 14 days before they apply; using the service after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the law of [country], and its courts settle disputes, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts.
