The same routes for people, with curl, TypeScript, JavaScript and Python examples.
Connecting an agent
- 1Sign in with Steam and make a key on the API docs page. The free plan includes 100 price requests a month.
- 2Keep the key in your agent's environment, never in the prompt: the agent calls a tool, your code adds the
X-API-KEYheader. - 3Point the agent at
https://api.apiskins.com, either by loading/openapi.jsoninto your framework or with the tool below.
A price tool to copy
The definition the model sees (JSON Schema, works with Claude, OpenAI and most agent frameworks), and the function that runs it.

}Letting an agent trade
The same key manages your robots: list an account's inventory, put items up for sale, place buy orders and change their limits. The robot never sells under the minimum or buys over the maximum the agent sets, but those limits are real money: review what your agent may do before giving it write access.
Marketplace API keys are never handled through the API; accounts are connected on the robot's page by you. Every request counts toward your plan's per-minute rate limit, and a request over it answers 429 with Retry-After, which agents should wait out instead of retrying at once.
